Repatriation

In 2011 we repatriated to our home country, the Netherlands. We settled in Leiden and found ourselves a lovely new (old) house. We renovated the place for a few months and unpacked the container 3 months after our arrival in the Netherlands.
Niels
Niels (19) finished his IB-DP at St. Christopher School in Bahrain, sat his exams in the Netherlands (due to the evacuation from Bahrain in March 2011) and was accepted at the University in Maastricht. Niels speaks 4 languages (Dutch, English, Spanish, Arabic) and learning Portugese... With his girl friend from Portugal, he travels frequently to Porto.
Onno
Onno finished his GCSE at St.Christopher School in Bahrain, sat his exams at the British School in Voorschoten (due to the same evacuation in March 2011) and is currently in the International School. He is quite pleased to be back in the Netherlands as he enjoys more freedom now. He plays baseball and electric Guitar.
Noëlle
Noëlle (14) is also pretty pleased with the relocation back to the Netherlands. She's at the International School, made new friends, plays piano and violin and loves graphic design on the computer. Noëlle is a talented singer, performer and musician. While on assignment in Bahrain, she participated in different productions and choir performances.

Thijs
Thijs studied Mechanical Engineering (HTS) in Amsterdam and Business Administration (MBA) at NIMBAS in Utrecht. He works for a Dutch Multinational Company as Project Manager. He loves riding his motor bike and cycling. Thijs enjoys a good glass of wine, good company, and a good movie. He loves to travel but is currently busy renovating our new house.
Mary
Mary is passionate about Breastfeeding, wrote two books about the topic and worked many years as volunteer in Breastfeeding consultancy. She enjoys a good swim, bike ride and traveling. She now works part time in Amsterdam as advisor for the Expatriate Support Network. Mary is a keen swimmer, blogger, author and a wannabe photographer.
